This Gustavia boutique is a must-stop for fashionistas. "Lolita Jaca is my favorite place to shop in St. Barth's," says Christiane Celle, owner of Clic photo gallery and founder of Calypso, now a world-renowned fashion, lifestyle and fragrance brand. Thanks to local jewelry designer Fabienne Miot, devotees of St. Barth's can flaunt their allegiance by sporting her delicate pendant necklaces and bracelets featuring the island's name, or simple outlines of the island's shape. She also makes elegant and cutting-edge pieces using pearls, fossilized shells and tiny beads. In addition to her own line she carries jewelry and watches from Mauboussin and Van der Bauwede.

This photo gallery and bookstore is the latest venture from Christiane Celle, the uber-chic Frenchwoman who founded Calypso, the fashion and perfume boutique she opened on the island in 1992, and which has since expanded to more than 36 stores internationally. In addition to her brand new gallery in Gustavia, Christiane has a second one in New York's Soho and will soon open another in Montauk. "I decided to open a bookstore and gallery as I wanted to do something different than fashion, but still have a connection," Celle explains. "I'm living with a photographer and I love books about photography—I've been collecting them for years. I'm also interested in finding new talents and helping them promote their work. The first show features surfing photography, and we'll have six shows per year. The shop also carries books about photographers such as Richard Avedon, Peter Beard, Loretta Lux, Martin Schoeller, Patrick Demarchelier (who lives on the island), and Mark Seliger, who does portraits of rocks stars and celebrities."

"Les Bijoux de la Mer has incredible Tahitian pearl jewelry," says Christiane Celle. The shop is owned by husband and wife designers Maryvonne and Gérard Minot, avid sailors who've traveled the world to find shells, sea glass, stones, and pearls for their handmade collection inspired by the ocean and nature.

Considering the amount of skin being bared on the beaches of St. Barth's, it makes perfect sense that the little island exports a lot of fabulous skincare products made with tropical botanical ingredients. Local and visiting beauties alike make a point to stock up on skin and haircare products from Ligne St. Barth, an internationally known family-owned brand that offers a wide range made with active ingredients and extracts from plants, fruits and flowers from the Caribbean.
