Le Sirenuse, An Italian-Style Mansion in Positano, Italy
Positano, Amalfi Coast, Italy

Le Sirenuse is an old-style Italian mansion settled into the hillside on top of Amalfi and overlooking the sea. Well-known and worth-the-hype, the 63 rooms and suites are overflowing with antiques—imagine whitewashed walls, vaulted ceilings and hand-made tiles with paintings by the old masters gracing the sitting rooms.
All the standard amenities are provided: a minibar, TV, DVD player and so on, but why stay inside with the breathtaking landscape to enjoy? It's great for an energetic hike through difficult but rewarding mountainous terrain, fragrant with pine and olive trees, and the calm seas are perfect for a day on the water. After all that excercise, relax in the Aveda Concept Spa or the fitness center, before dinner. Enjoy traditional Neapolitan cuisine at the restaurant, La Sponda, under the guidance of the three Michelin-starred chef Alfonso Iaccarino and his son. Or perhaps drop by the Champagne and Oyster Bar, which offers fabulous views over Positano. There's also the fantastico boutique curated by the owner—you'll leave with a hefty Amex bill and wonderful memories & goodies. Le Sirenuse is about an hour drive from Capodichino International Airport.
Room rates from €350.
