La Réserve Genève Hotel & Spa

I love the feel of this place every time I walk in. Set on ten beautiful acres of parkland overlooking Lake Geneva, La Réserve is one of Geneva's see-and-be-seen spots and happens to be a high quality resort-style property. Hot Parisian designer Jacques Garcia has spiced-up the 85 rooms and 17 suites with 1930's glam, full of warm colors (he loves his deep reds and burgandies), and featuring all of the necessary gadgets and either a view of the park or the lake (lake is my preference, of course). Tip-top for beauty and all-round pampering, the heavenly spa has an amazing indoor pool, massages, facials and a hammam, not to mention a sauna, fitness room and hair salon. The lovely outdoor pool has plenty of lounge chairs and is especially great fun on summer weekends. There are three restaurants, the Chinese one being the local favorite. So dedicated is their service, they'll prepare a picnic lunch, or a brown box for your flight home! NB: Some friends complain of snobby staff. Geneva Airport 5 minutes by car.
