J.K. Place Capri, Seaside Boutique Hotel in Capri, Italy
Capri, Naples, Italy

Located on the edge of the sea (the only hotel in Capri that is) J.K. Place Capri feels much more like a distinguished residence than hotel. I knew the minute we entered that I'd want to stay longer ... and can't wait to return for a proper holiday.
The spacious bedrooms and suites (rooms 12 and 15 are my favorites—the bathroom of 15 is magical), are designed by architect Michele Bonan, and just how I would design my future home. I love the classic seaside combos of navy blue & white mixed with soft pastels and patterned wall-coverings. In each room you'll find canopied beds, marble fireplaces, black and white art and all rooms look out over sea or gardens (make sure you get a sea facing room). Poolside, the scene is serene-chic and the breezy spa is not to be missed. The restaurant serves delicious Mediterranean cuisine throughout the day, and Lorenzo the charming maitre'd is on hand to surprise and delight, like serving a special Neapolitan coffee or brewing a tisane from the adjacent deck's herb garden. Samuel Porreca, the hotel GM, acts as a house host, graciously managing the requests and special touches. NB: In my opinion, the penthouse suites are not much larger than the deluxe rooms and not worth the €600 difference.
Room rates from €700.
