Caffè Lavazza

San Tommaso.JPGSan Tommaso, 10 - Caffè Lavazza
Via San Tommaso, 10
Turin, Italy

Founded in 1885, Caffè Lavazza is the official café of the famous Turinese coffee brand. The café has had a bit of revamp since the nineteenth century; it is now hip and buzzing. As well as a chic place to re-caffinate, you can also get excellent tramezzini here (Italian sandwiches). Here in the evening? the cocktails are super.

Palace of Teas

Le Palais des Thes.jpgLe Palais des Thes
64 rue Vielle-du-Temple
Paris, France

Fresh, high-quality, fair-trade, enviromentally sustainable tea. Tea is sourced from small tea estates throughout the world: regular visits to the plantation sites enable control of all possible aspects in the production of their teas and the discovery of rare and wonderful crops. They were one of the first in this hot area - and still one of the best I think!

Caviar or Diamonds?

Petrossian1.jpgPetrossian
18 Boulevard de la Tour Maubourg
Paris, France

A classic I have to include. The Petrossian brothers, Melkoum and Mouchegh, pioneered the introduction of caviar to the West in the 1920’s and have retained their position as the largest and best-known importer to France and America ever since. The company is still in the family and the caviar is still to-die-for. Also check out their smoked salmon and specialty vodkas.
