I’m a massage, yoga & pilates junkie and think that holiday, especially where one exerts oneself physically, deserves a bit of pampering … Here are my (and my insiders) top picks from super services I tried.

Chilali Massage:
We loved the wonderful in-Chalet service from American entrepreneur Penney Megginson who very clearly runs a top-notch service. Fantastic. Deep tissue talent. They specialize in: sports massage, Swedish massage, hot stone massage, Indian head massage, Thai massage, pilates & yoga classes and even host summer hikes!  penney@chilalimassage.com

The Verbier Touch:
Brigitta Fairhall of is probably best known in hotel & chalet visits. I was treated at The Lodge by this group who clearly source talented practitioners. brigitta@theverbiertouch.com

Body Focus:
Rumor has it newcomer Leah Fullwood, an excellent massage therapist, is gaining popularity … hotel and chalet visits of course. leah@bodyfocus.ch 

Spa Valmont, Chalet d'Adrien:
Insider Celine Donin de Rosiere highly recommends these, but states, "If you are after a good massage you should go to Massage Michellod, a hippy basement … shabby but the best massage in town by far."

Nevai Hotel Spa:
I’m told by Insider Noah Silberscmidt that this spa has some good massage therapists as well. It  opens onto a terrace where you are wrapped in warm blankets while sipping warm tea contemplating life … (personally I found the space unimpressive). www.nevai.ch
