Les Cascades de Bantry Bay, A Secluded Boutique Hotel overlooking Cape Town
Cape Town, South Africa

It’s all about the view at this pretty boutique property. Dramatically perched on the slopes of Lions Head, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, this Indonesian inspired cutie is located in one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in Cape Town: Bantry Bay. A 20 minute walk to Camps Bay (which I think is nothing special) and a mere 10 minute drive from Table Mountain, Les Cascades de Bantry Bay is a secluded, private place.
I love the sun deck with its Balinese pavilion; the perfect place to zone out with a good book or enjoy a “his & hers massage” by the small pools before retreating to your room. Each of the six spacious suites, with their dark wood and leather furniture, are bedecked with unusual Asian and African artifacts. The bathrooms are seriously swish with Philippe Stark baths and designer toiletries. Walking down to the terrace where dinner is served in the evening reminds me of the medieval streets in Roma or Firenze – all winding and cobbled. You’ll enjoy dinner in the lodge-style dining room with a roaring open fire, or on the terrace overlooking the ocean. A great selection of authentic African cuisine and local wines.
