This classic, large beauty makes quite an appearance in the middle of Lech town. Although I did not stay at the Hotel Arlberg, I checked it out in detail and sussed out a few locals for their take. This is the best option for families with small children—both in winter and summer—with the pretty outdoor pool and tennis court surrounded by the lushness of the mountains, flowers and streams. The kids club will keep the little ones well entertained (and sleeping well at night) after enjoying activities ranging from game playing, painting and treasure hunts. Adorable. They even have a kiddie–only meal between 6–7pm. The rooms, lounge and restaurant area are classic and old–fashioned; very comfortable. Great spa–gym–pool area and plenty of little nooks to read by the fire. I dislike the style of their La Fenice restaurant, but hear the food (Italian) is excellent. Their summer program includes mountain walks, as well as golf and spa packages. The coral motif in the spa mixed with beiges and rich wood furnishings is one of the prettiest I’ve seen in this part of Europe—clearly newly renovated. The trail I loved most for cross-country (from Lech town to Zug town), is apparently also stunning in summer months.
