When I dream of the perfect vacation, I conjure images of tropical plants, sunshine and a fabulous house with friends and family. Geetika Jain, who has her own villa on Barbados, put me onto Fustic House, which offers it all—it’s ideal for guests who want a change from their ordinary vacation, since it is the largest private estate available for rental on the island. Imagine being picked up from the airport by a helicopter or Bentley, then transported to an 11-acre paradise for just you and your loved ones. The six suites accommodate 12 guests, and children are welcome. The only other people there are the 15 full–time staff, who respond to your every need, from delicious Bajan food to pampering beauty treatments. The facilities include gorgeous gardens and a tropical lagoon swimming pool that feels like a private oasis. Guests of Fustic House also have access to the members-only Port St Charles Yacht Club, a mere 5 minute drive from the villa. So, if you’re looking for a vacation where your only company will be your friends, the staff and Barbados Green Monkeys, look no further. Rates are $3900 US per night in the winter, or $3000 US per night in the summer, with a minimum stay of seven nights. Please reference Suzanne’s Files when enquiring about a stay at Fustic House. Guests will be met before the arrivals hall at the airport and ushered through immigration, baggage and customs to their awaiting transportation. |
