At Libaliano Cooking Workshops, with a maximum of 8 per group, you never feel self-conscious.
Claude and Maria couldn't be more engaging, fun and lovely. They are talented teachers! The duo hold their classes in Mediterranean and Lebanese cooking respectively. Workshops, for both absolute beginners and keen amateur chefs, are based at Claude's Fulham home. The informal setting makes for great chats with the gals and helps the learning process sink in.
After an initial demonstration, you give the dishes a shot under the expert guidance of the teachers. Afterwards, the best part! Everyone sits down to lunch in the light-filled conservatory and tucks into the delicious food just prepared. Both Claude and Maria are passionate about the food of their heritage. Maria has spent years as a pasta chef in London and is co-editor of an Italian recipe book. Claude, a former filmmaker, became interested in Lebanese cuisine after documenting the gradual disappearance of Lebanese culinary traditions. Run, don't walk if you're interested to learn; this is a goody.
