With just 18 guest rooms and suites, Villa La Vedetta has the feel of a private home, albeit with a Michelin star restaurant, and a large swimming pool and Jacuzzi set in landscaped gardens. The interior decor is classic rather than contemporary—each guest room comes with a sumptuous marble and mosaic bathroom—but also offers plasma TVs, CD players and internet access. Be sure to dine in Onice, a pleasant vaulted restaurant and lounge bar in cool grays, ivory and cream, which opens onto that spectacular terrace for al fresco dining in the warmer months.
