Enter into, The Lodge, a blissful chalet and hang your stresses on the heated boot warmer rack. Bam Bam, the adorable lodge dog (cocoa colored flat coated retriever) runs over, tail wagging and then goes to seek affection from another guest in the cushy light-filled living room complete with roaring fire—which leads to a large terrace decked out with stylish furniture, an outdoor grill, hot tub and skating rink for kids! I really loved my stay here and rank it in my all time favorites worldwide for its range of comforts, style and service. "Home-away-from home" is overused, but it so describes my stay here and the other guests I asked as well. The 5 min walk to the Medran ski lift and 10 min walk to center of town make it handy (but NB: while views are very pretty, it is not as high up as one may expect from Branson). Generously sized bedrooms and suites are spread out over three floors, and include a duplex and one kids bedroom with six(!) bunk-beds. There are 7 bedrooms & 2 suites total. Underfloor heating throughout the chalet is just one of the extra touches, which also include: a spa/ treatment room with impressive menu, a huge library of adult and kiddie DVDs and games, WiFi throughout and a swimming pool, steam and sauna. Kids are looked after super well here—they transform into "Lodge Rangers" who go on treasure hunts, have paint parties, story breaks and of course, out on piste with ski instructors. Love it. Highly recommend! (and as wonderful in Summer) Rates: €350 and up per room nightly bed & breakfast basis. Seasonal rates apply so do inquire. |
