Love the pool bungalows for lunch and by the way: their bartenders went to Margarita-making school — fantastic. But: the pool is small and most often shaded *take note. You may wish to modify the listing for The Viceroy in Santa Monica. It is not “central” but as far from central LA and the West Side as one can get in the westerly direction.
It is, however, about 20 minutes from Beverly Hills and about a half hour from downtown Los Angeles via freeway.
