I am supremely impressed by this service ladden, spectacular property. I’m a “fan” (get it?) of the Mandarin Oriental Group, but never thought they could pull it off in the middle of NYC, nevertheless in the tremendous way they did —style, wow factor, great service—a perfect urban retreat. I’ve found my favorite NYC hotel. The 248 rooms feature sleek, modern furnishings, with floor to ceiling windows offering breathtaking views of the city, plus all the modern additions you’ll need, including high-speed Internet, flat-screen TVs in the bedrooms & bathrooms. And what bathrooms! Marble baths and in suites, huge picture windows so you can admire the view while you soak. I adore the spa — if you have the budget, book the Time Ritual, a 2 hour individual custom created service you’ll never forget. The pool and health club are amongst the best I’ve seen in a city hotel; love the in-house restaurants and semi circle bar which is quite the post-work scene. Much more than a hotel.
