About a 1 hour drive from LA, situated in beautiful Laguna beach, right on the beach! Our LA Insider Alison Greenspan reports: The entrance invokes a large ranch-style home feel; grand but understated casual. To your right you’ll see the fabulous gift shop (not a hotel feature we normally mention) and as you walk in, the Ocean sparkling or moonlit, pending time of day.  Rooms are good value for money, large—but not exactly my taste—most people love the style. The spa at this property is a slice of heaven, and the award-winning restaurant on site is a gastronomical treat. Service has been complained about by two of my friends; one who says she’d return anyway, but I found even the pool area service to be cared for and friendly…Popular with the Hollywood “it” crowd for good reason, the ambiance makes for a great quick bolthole from busy LA.
