Chocolates with a social conscience – and, with their delicate fruit, spice and fresh herb flavours, they are delicious, too. Husband-and-wife John Doyle and Kira Baker-Doyle taught themselves how to make chocolate when they saw it as a great way of combining their business sense (John was an investment banker), love of food and interest in sustainable agriculture. Ingredients come from – among other places – the garden of an urban student programme that the Doyles support in Philadelphia, a local organic farmer and a biodynamic grower in Hawaii.
