I'm surprised to see that there are no mentions of luxury contemporary apartments in Paris.  My friends told me about CobbleStay.com.  We haven't gone back to hotels since.  Prices slightly more than a hotel, much more freedom and space, just as much luxury, and feeling like you're home even when you're away.
