This heathland course east of Chantilly was ranked best in France by Golf Digest (2005). Tom Simpson’s classic 1927 design has recently been remodelled by Kyle Phillips. You’ll need an invitation to gain access to this super private club- a golfer’s paradise; narrow fairways on sandy soil, lined by trees and rough.

This is one of the toughest, best courses I’ve ever played. A supplier took me there - believe me, they got the contract! Doubt I’ll ever get the chance again, so good luck getting an invite…
